Hailing from the Leyda Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc boasts an aromatic profile where citrus and floral notes intertwine with herbaceous nuances, characteristic of its origin. Leyda has positioned itself in recent years as an ideal terroir for producing this white grape variety in Chile.

Since its establishment in 1997, Viña Vistamar has focused on observing and studying nature. A key aspect of their wines is the search for locations influenced by the Andes Mountains and/or the Pacific Ocean. These conditions help the vines to mature slowly and steadily. This approach has allowed Viña Vistamar to create wines with a vertical structure, noted for their elegance and, above all, their great freshness, sourced from Chile’s most significant and renowned wine regions.

This philosophy of following and listening to nature has enabled Viña Vistamar to break away from traditional winemaking norms, creating a fresh, unique, and distinctive style.

The wine line that best represents this essence is Vistamar Eje, named because their vineyards are located in Chile’s most important axes, influenced by the mountains and/or the sea, contributing to thermal regulation. This line consists of superior, expressive wines that remain true to their origin.

The portfolio includes seven wines: Andes Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva, Andes Carmenère Gran Reserva, Red Blend Gran Reserva, White Blend Gran Reserva, Costa Pinot Noir, Costa Chardonnay, and Costa Sauvignon Blanc.

The latter, Eje Costa Sauvignon Blanc, comes from the Leyda Valley, characterized by its cool climate influenced by the Pacific Ocean and calcareous soils. This area experiences notable temperature differences between day and night, contributing to the unique expression of the grape. These conditions promote gradual grape maturation, resulting in a wine with refreshing acidity, aromatic intensity, and herbaceous notes that reflect the freshness and complexity of the terroir.

Vistamar Eje Costa Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow with greenish highlights, showcasing its evident youth and freshness. On the nose, it exhibits intense aromas where citrus notes like lime and grapefruit intertwine with vibrant fresh herbs. On the palate, its vibrant acidity perfectly harmonizes with the fruit, delivering a clean and persistent finish.

This Sauvignon Blanc is extraordinarily versatile, pairing perfectly with various dishes ranging from oysters, ceviches, and shrimp to fresh salads with citrus vinaigrettes, white fish, and soft cheeses.
