VISTAMAR
OUR WINEMAKER
DANIELA SALINAS TAKES THE LEAD AT VISTAMAR, INFUSING HER EXPERIENCE, PASSION, AND STYLE INTO THE WINES.
Daniela is an agronomist graduated from the University of Chile with extensive experience in the wine industry. After working at renowned Chilean wineries, she joined Morandé Wine Group in 2012 as assistant winemaker at Mancura. She then managed the harvests at Zorzal Wines in Gualtallary, Argentina, working closely with the prominent Michelini brothers.
Her talent and expertise quickly highlighted her as a leader in the wine industry. She took on the role of head winemaker at House Casa del Vino, the restaurant of Viña Morandé in the Casablanca Valley. Here, the contemporary wines of the Adventure Line began to take shape.
In this significant project, Daniela oversees Tirazis, a Syrah from Casablanca known for its balance between acidity and tannins, and Despechado, a Pinot Noir also from the Casablanca Valley. Additionally, she has launched a sparkling wine called Carapálida as part of her independent project, Vino de los Siete, in collaboration with other winemakers.
For years, Daniela has also overseen the Pre-bottling area at Morandé Wine Group, ensuring efficiency and quality in this process at the Pelequén winery.
However, her greatest challenge came in 2023 with Vistamar, where she leads the production of this line and infuses it with her unique style. Her goal is to showcase wines that reflect their cool origins and convey the distinct characteristics of their various valleys, delivering expressive, fresh, and structured wines.
In addition to her passion for wine, Daniela enjoys nature, cycling, practicing yoga and dance, as well as traveling and tasting fine wines in every destination.
