Since its founding in 1997, Viña Vistamar has built its identity around a clear premise: to follow the rhythm of nature. This philosophy has guided every one of our decisions — from vineyard selection to winemaking style — with the aim of creating fresh, elegant wines that are deeply connected to their place of origin.
A key element of this approach has been our pursuit of sites influenced by the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, as these natural conditions allow for slow and harmonious grape ripening. This unhurried process is essential for producing wines with great aromatic expression, vertical structure, and unmistakable freshness — the signature of Viña Vistamar.
That essence comes to life in our Vistamar Eje line, whose name refers to Chile’s main viticultural axes, where climatic influences converge to give each variety its unique personality and character. These are Gran Reserva wines, crafted from hand-selected grapes grown in vineyards that faithfully reflect the spirit of their origin and our unwavering commitment to quality.
Eje Andes Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva comes from the Romeral vineyard in the Maipo Valley, a region internationally renowned for its premium red wines. Clay-alluvial soils and a cool, dry climate yield a deep violet-red wine with aromas of red and black fruits, fine tannins, and remarkable persistence.
From the same vineyard comes Eje Andes Carmenere Gran Reserva, a deep violet-red wine with intense blackberry aromas and notes of herbs and spices like cinnamon and clove. On the palate, it is fresh, with flavors of red fruit, tobacco, and white pepper.
In the Cachapoal Valley, Eje Andes Red Blend Gran Reserva is born in the La Moralina vineyard, marked by alluvial and colluvial soils and significant thermal amplitude. This ruby-red wine offers ripe fruit aromas like blueberries, with hints of rosemary and cedar. Juicy, fresh, and balanced on the palate, it pairs beautifully with meats, spiced stews, and aged cheeses.
Closer to the coast, the Belén vineyard in the Casablanca Valley is the source of Eje Costa White Blend Gran Reserva, a white wine with intense aromatic expression and citrus, mineral, and tropical notes. Its freshness and elegance make it an excellent match for fatty fish and seafood.
Also from this area, Eje Costa Pinot Noir Gran Reserva stands out with its bright cherry-red color and intense aromas of raspberries and cherries. It has a delicate body, elegant structure, and a well-balanced, expressive profile.
Eje Costa Chardonnay Gran Reserva, also from the Belén vineyard, is distinguished by its pale yellow color and floral notes such as orange blossom, rose, and jasmine, along with white fruits like lychee and melon. It strikes a pleasant balance between sweetness and freshness, with a persistent, well-balanced, and highly fragrant finish.
Finally, Eje Costa Sauvignon Blanc Gran Reserva hails from the Leyda Valley, one of Chile’s top terroirs for this variety. The cool, ocean-influenced climate contributes to a unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc. This pale yellow wine with greenish hues offers intense citrus and fresh herb aromas. Its vibrant acidity and clean, persistent finish make it especially refreshing.
With Vistamar Eje, we reaffirm our commitment to a respectful, mindful, and deeply terroir-driven approach to winemaking. Each bottle is an invitation to discover the richness of Chile’s wine valleys through authentic, expressive, and vibrant wines.
