VISTAMAR BLOCK: THE ESSENCE OF TWO EXTRAORDINARY TERROIRS

Since its founding in 1997, Viña Vistamar has been committed to observing and understanding nature. The winery seeks vineyards influenced by both the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean — conditions that allow the grapes to ripen slowly and fully, resulting in fresh, elegant wines with a vertical structure.

The Block range is a clear example of this philosophy. Crafted from the best vineyard plots in the renowned Casablanca and Cachapoal Valleys, it captures the precise identity of each site. Every wine originates from a specific point where soil and climate combine to reveal unique aromas, textures, and flavors.

Discover the collection:

Vistamar Block #1 Costa Chardonnay
In the coolest area of Casablanca, the Pacific’s influence is constant. Clay soils with granite content, together with misty mornings, lend vibrant freshness and marked minerality to Block #1. A wine that shows elegance, balanced acidity, and layers of white and citrus fruit.

Vistamar Block #3 Costa Pinot Noir
Also from Casablanca, this Pinot Noir comes from south-facing slopes where ripening is slower. The result is subtle: a wine with fine tannins, delicate and precise aromas and a refreshing acidity.

Vistamar Block #3 Andes Carménère
In the Andes, the story changes: more sunlight, greater termal amplitude, and stony soils shape a Carménère that is intense yet fresh and balanced. With notes of black fruit, spices, and the variety’s characteristic herbal touch, Block #3 earned 93 points from the Tim Atkin Special Report (2021 vintage), underscoring its quality.

Vistamar Block #9 Andes Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah
This blend originates from vineyards in the Andes sector of the Cachapoal Valley, where altitude and alluvial and colluvial soils yield a structured red with ripe fruit and freshness. Recent scores — 92 points from James Suckling (2021) — validate the balance it delivers: power and elegance in equal measure.

Vistamar Block #12 Andes Cabernet Sauvignon
Classic and robust, the Cabernet Sauvignon from Block #12 delivers all the intensity of the Andes, with firm tannins, black fruit, and a long finish. The 2022 vintage earned 92 points from Descorchados, while the 2021 reached 93 points from La CAV. These results reflect its depth and capacity to evolve over time.

Each wine in the Vistamar Block range is an invitation to explore the places that shape its character — a journey between the cool coastal breeze and the power of the mountains, revealing the true essence of Chile’s finest terroirs.
